Happy New Year everyone

Well, 2014 is over and done, and we’re in 2015 now.
Personally, I have hope that this year will be better than the last, which was mixed for me. I wish the same for everyone reading this, especially as I’m grateful for your readership and comments. In general, I really hope 2015 will be better than 2014, given all the tragedies and conflicts that happened during the year. I will have more about last year (I’m late like usual) but for now, let’s put aside the heavy thoughts and enjoy a few photos of Beijing below, which are not from New Year’s Day but from December and November.

As if in tune with the holiday period and new year, the weather was very good in December (though wind and reduced factory activity may have played a role). Despite all the nonsense, callousness and injustice that goes on here, Beijing can be beautiful at times.
So here’s hoping for more beauty in our lives in 2015.
