The last World Cup tickets went on sale yesterday (Thursday April 15) in South Africa and were met by massive, enthusiastic and rowdy crowds who swarmed to ticket centers nationwide. This should make the organizers and FIFA breathe a little easier, though they should be feeling ashamed for making the sales mainly Internet-only up to this point. I feel that despite their admission of making a mistake over that, they probably did it deliberately in order to get as much foreign sales as possible (tickets for foreigners sell for over 3 times as much as for South Africans). When foreign tickets proved to be seriously underwhelming, FIFA and the local organizers were most definitely scared into action to try to make this final sales as accessible as possible.
