Taipei’s fine subway

After my visit last year, I found Taipei’s subway, as well as Hong Kong’s, to be pretty good especially when compared to the TTC. I mentioned this in my Taipei article for Excalibur’s Travel Supplement and now this blog post article which was linked on David on Formosa also describes how great Taipei’s subway is. The post from the blog of Wired, the tech magazine, mentions how clean, efficient and well-liked the subway is by its riders.

From personal experience, I know that all that is true but also the smoothness of the subway rides, quite unlike the noisy, rickety TTC although the MRT is much newer than the TTC, and the convenient and modern ticketing system, mentioned at the bottom of the Wired post, also makes the Taipei MRT great.
